B.Tech project for 2013

The B.Tech Interior Design year basically consists of you taking a building and giving it an amazing new function and design.It's quite overwhelming having to be responsible for such an immense project but it's fun at the same time as you can decide the direction in which the project goes.

Let me begin by introducing my building the Lavel’ ilanga Educational Centre which is located in Walmer Township. Lavel’ ilanga means “Here comes the sun”. My concept is to take the existing building and turn it into a Pregnancy Wellness Centre exclusively for the community of Walmer Township. The centre will have a number of functions which I will discuss at a later stage.

There is some construction taking place at the site which made for some awkward photograph views but for now here are some images of the existing building.
